I want to share with you some of the best productivity information I have gathered and experienced over time that has made a difference in my businesses and in life. I am sure that this will greatly increase the way you do business, how much money you earn, and how you live your life if you take what I teach in this condensed post and apply it to your life.


The average person will hit the snooze button many times before they wake up to start their day. Some will go as far as setting multiple alarms on their smartphone before they really must get up. I used to do this before I found out how bad hitting that snooze button is for your productivity.

The truth is, if you are looking for a surefire way to skyrocket your productivity, the first secret is in your daily routine. And it starts in the morning!

  1. Focus On Your Goals

Successful people finish their day on paper before they actually start it. They write down their daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly goals. And everything they do each day is surrounded around their goals. They know how their day will operate and what they must do.

And after setting those goals, they will take time to visualize and meditate upon their goals and make it real in their mind in order to make it a reality outwardly.

You should find time in your morning to sit down and write in your notebook all the goals and achievements you would like to accomplish. It does not matter if they don’t seem achievable at first. Part of the journey towards accomplishment is learning how to achieve your goals.

  1. Eat Your Daily Frog First

Every one of us have something that we always do last, simply because we don’t like doing it. It could be your daily exercise, writing that term paper, or maybe your homework.

The heading “eat your daily frog first” sounds pretty gross doesn’t it? What it means is, you should do the thing you least like doing first and you will feel much more productive throughout the rest of the day.

There are four reasons why people usually procrastinate at eating their daily frogs as described in Brian Tracy’s Book Eat That Frog

  • They don’t really know how
  • They’re too tired
  • They don’t think they’ll be able to do it
  • The task seems too big to do it

In order to combat this, you need to know, first and foremost, what exactly is it that you really want, and write it down on paper. Set deadlines for all your tasks, and organize them by priority. Once you’ve done this, follow up with massive action!



Keeping your health in top shape will provide you with the proper energy and mental focus that will allow you to reach productivity levels that others can’t even imagine having. What is it that successful people do to keep their health in shape?

  1. They eat the right food

Food for the body is like fuel for a car. It’s what gets us going. But taking in the wrong food can cause our body to function poorly. It’s important that we feed our body the proper food that will allow us to grow, not only physically, but mentally sharp.

If you constantly eat fast food and your body lacks proper nutrients, you are, in essence starving your body of what it truly craves in order to run properly.

I remember when I was in high school, we watched Super Size Me. That was the video where the guy ate McDonald’s for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The constant lack of nutrition threw his body into a state of nutritional deprivation.

Because everyone is different, we all have different food needs. But generally speaking, we should all be getting a good amount of protein, healthy fats, and some proper carbohydrates. Supplement that with quality multivitamins, and you’ll see your energy levels rise, giving you an increased level of productivity.

  1. They have a solid exercise plan

Exercise plays a vital role in boosting your productivity. It puts our body into high gear and makes us feel great. We might not like it during the workout, but those of you who work out can be a witness of how amazing you feel after finishing a solid workout.

It’s important to dedicate time in your day towards some sort of physical activity, whether its going to the gym, hiking, and even yoga. Some people work out first thing in the morning, others in the middle of the day, and some feel best finishing the day with a workout.

Exercise is also one of the best mood boosters. It helps to release many natural brain chemicals, leaving you in a more positive state of mind. Not only that, but the consistent dedication to proper exercise will leave you more confident as you begin to see your body tone up and become healthier, boosting your self-confidence.

  1. They get the proper amount of sleep

When I was young, I hated taking naps. But had I known what I now know, I would have been more open to nap-taking. You see, when you are sleeping, your body goes into a state of recovery. Sleep provides muscle recovery, increased mental alertness when you awake up, and it recharges your brain so that it functions at peak performance.

You need somewhere between 7 to 10 hours of sleep for proper recovery. You should sleep when the sun is down and wake up generally when the sun begins coming up. I also like to use two apps on my iPhone called Sleep Cycle and Power Nap. You can use them to track the quality of your sleep such as how often you wake up, total time you slept, and more.

I can understand that some of us just don’t have that kind of time to sleep and the luxury of hitting the sack and getting up on our own time. Tim Ferriss dives deep into this subject and provides some really great tips and tricks on sleep in his book The 4-Hour Body. I would recommend you check it out if you want to learn how to tweak your sleep cycles for maximum performance.



A scary statistic that I learned a few years back is that the average American will read less than one book a year. And then they wonder why life is treating them poorly.

Well I can tell you this: you have to be a habitual learner in life.

You have to develop an extraordinary hunger for growth through learning. Learning increases awareness. Increasing your awareness takes the mystery out of life and begins to attract more of what you want. Here are three ways:

  1. Books

I really like this quote by Charles William Eliot, “Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers.”

I believe that you can truly find anything you want to learn about in books. There are millions beyond millions of books in existence. And with technology today, you can order any book at the push of a button on your smartphone and have it at your door the next day. But even better than that, you can listen to an audio version of most books anywhere you are, whether you are driving (Zig Ziglar calls this Automobile University), or you are home, or maybe even relaxing out on the beach.

Think of it like this: If it took a man 10 years to learn something and he writes a book on it and the book costs you $20 to purchase and a week to read, would it not be worth the investment?

Three books I always recommend to people when they ask me what they should start reading are The Bible, How To Win Friends And Influence People, and Think And Grow Rich. These three books are known to have made a huge impact on many lives, businesses, incomes, anything you want to apply them to.

  1. Seminars

Those of you who have been to seminars held by Tony Robbins, Bob Proctor, Jim Rohn, and others alike understand the magic of being in a room full of other thought leaders. Everyone gathers together to hear how they can increase their business, their income, their relationship levels, anything you can think of. The energy in that room vibrates at such a high frequency, you come out fired up about what you want and what you are going to do.

It’s important to invest your time by going to seminars because you surround yourself with like-minded people. Some people there might seem a bit crazy, but that’s because you haven’t reached their level of thinking just yet.

Getting together with other like-minded people is important because you will be able to network with people who have what you need, and you’ve got what they need. It’s a great way exponentially grow your business to new heights when you network.

  1. YouTube

With the technology of today, it brings a new way of learning. Maybe you laughed when you read YouTube as the title for this section. Probably because most people spend their time looking at funny cat videos and whatnot.

But YouTube serves as a great opportunity to learn more. You can find tutorial videos on just about any subject there is. It’s so popular that professionals have made it one of their main outlets for adding value to the community.

Many people have the excuse that they don’t know how to do something. But if they spend a few minutes looking it up on YouTube, they would see that it’s not impossible to do what they want. You can even find full college classes by some of the top colleges in the world posted right up on YouTube for you to view and learn from.

BONUS: Honorable mention goes out to Udemy. Udemy is an online learning center that you can use to learn many new things from some of the top teachers of your topic for a very small price. They constantly do discounts, so you’re sure to score the course you want at a price you can afford. This is a fantastic alternative to those who can’t afford college but really want to increase their knowledge and potential in the work field.
